All About Different Types of Kindles

Kindle has a six-inch display which uses technology named Amazon's E Ink technology in order to create a 16-level gray scale image which don’t glare in the direct sunlight. The Wi-Fi version of Kindle works on an active Wi-Fi while downloading.

Kindle Touch

The same 6-inch E Ink screen is provided in the Kindle p Touch which possesses the same screen standard as in Kindle. It is the version having a touch screen, which requires swipe or tapping of display for navigation in the menu system or document.

Kindle Keyboard

The Kindle Keyboard posses the similar internal specs as in Kindle Touch. It is a 6-inch E Ink display but is not a touch screen. It also posseses 5-way controller and a full QWERTY keyboard for input plus two side buttons for advancing the page while reading. It also comes in both Wi-Fi and 3G models s like the Kindle Touch and Kindle Keyboard comes.

Kindle DX

Kindle DX is one of the Amazon's largest Kindle having a 9.7-inch E Ink display. The display possesses a high-contrast, allowing 50 percent better contrast over other E Ink displays. It also features a full QWERTY keyboard, 5-way controller and standard page turning buttons. It does not have a touch screen.

Kindle Fire

Kindle Fire is a Half tablet, half eReader, and finds an odd place in the Kindle lineup. Its features include a full-color, 7-inch multi-touch display. It runs on a modified version of Google's Android operating system which facilitates download and run a large number of applications similar to a standard tablet.
